Each needle felted soap begins with a base of the softest, felted merino wool wrapped around our handcrafted goat milk soap. Designs are created and then needle felted by hand. Each design takes 2 to 3 hours to complete. Since each soap is made by hand, every one is unique and variations will occur in the same design.
A soap and a washcloth all in one, our needle felted soaps are popular for gift giving and personal use. The soap bubbles through the wool, which gives a gentle, exfoliating scrub. Unlike washcloths and scrubbies, wool is naturally antimicrobial and inhibits the growth of mold and bacteria.
As the soap is used, the wool (and the design) shrinks. After the soap is used up, a pad of wool with a smaller design (think eco-friendly shrinky-dink!) is left and can be used as a scrubbing pad, an ornament, pin or magnet.
