Lavender Wand Workshop - Saturday, June 29, 2024 10:00 a.m.
Lavender wands are a fun a pretty way to preserve lavender. They can only be made lavender is at its peak in the garden. This workshop will cover lavender selection (both the best lavender varieties to use and when to harvest), how to make your own wand, weaving tips and how to trouble shoot common mistakes and problems encountered when making wands.
Decorative Pie Making Techniques
This class will cover the techniques, tools and methods used to make a decorative pie crust. Students will be given recipes and shown how to make a flaky, tender crust and how to prepare a fruit filling. Students will need to bring a rolling pin to class if they have one.
Please note that this class will focus on practicing and mastering these techniques only.
Soap Felting Workshop
A soap and a washcloth all in one, felted soaps are wonderful for personal use and gift giving. This class will reivew the best types of wool for wet felting, how to blend wool, and how to wet felt. Participants will felt two bars of soap and may felt more for an additional fee.
Needle Felted Soap Workshop
This class will cover the techniques of creating needle felted art on a pre felted bar of soap. Paricipants may use one of our designs or create a design of their own. All materials will be provided to make one bar of soap. Additional soaps and felting supplies will be available for purchase for those who wish to make additional works of art after class.
